James Bolte

Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Alabama, Inc.
James T. Bolte is President for Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Alabama, Inc., (TMMAL) located in Huntsville, Alabama. He is responsible for all manufacturing and support functions.
TMMAL currently employs almost 900 team members who began building the V8 engine for the Tundra pickup truck in May 2003. The company expanded its facilities in August 2005 to produce V6 engines for the Tacoma and Tundra pickup trucks.  In December 2006, TMMAL increased V8 engine production with the addition of the 5.7 liter engine. August of 2009 brought the announcement for the addition of four-cylinder engines for Camry and RAV4 vehicles. Once complete, the newest project will bring employment to more than 1000, investment to more than $630 million and annual capacity to 577,000.
Most recently, Mr. Bolte was Senior Vice President and Secretary for TMMAL. He previously served as Vice President of Information Systems at Toyota Engineering and Manufacturing North America, Inc., (TEMA), responsible for all aspects of Information Systems including strategic planning and development, as well as all day-to-day operations.
Prior to working at TEMA and TMMAL, Mr. Bolte was Assistant General Manager of the Corporate Administration Office (CAO) for Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc., (TMMK) in Georgetown. His responsibilities included key roles in supporting senior management, coordinating company-wide projects, and facilitating inter-company communications. Before his position in CAO, Mr. Bolte was Manager of Information Systems at TMMK, with responsibilities including administration of computer operations, communications, technical support, office automation and system development for office systems.
Before joining TMMK, Mr. Bolte held the position of Systems Engineer with Ashland Oil Incorporated in the cities of Ashland and Lexington, Kentucky.
His current and past community involvement and board activities include the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce, Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, CincyTechUSA Leadership Council, Lexington Philharmonic Executive Board, TEMA United Way Chairman, HP Cross Industries Board of Advisors, the Business Council of Alabama, The Committee of 100, the Business Advisory Council to the University of Alabama at Huntsville, Valley Innovation Alliance Leadership, and Alabama Robotics Center Executive Board.
Mr. Bolte received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Information Systems from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond.
