Steven Curtis is vice president of media and engagement marketing for Toyota Motor North America (TMNA), Inc., responsible for Toyota’s media planning and buying efforts. His team is also responsible for consumer engagement, including the development of Toyota’s digital marketing platforms, as well as auto shows and other consumer events across the U.S.
Prior to his current position, Curtis served as vice president of corporate communications, responsible for executive, internal and marketing communications, digital and social media content, investor and stakeholder relations, and policy communications. Curtis previously served as the corporate manager of corporate communications at Toyota Motor North America (TMA), Inc. in New York City. He was responsible for field and product communications for Toyota, Lexus, and Scion brands on the east coast, including Toyota’s Boston, New York, and Central Atlantic regions.
Curtis joined Toyota in 1999 and has held a variety of other positions, including rotational assignments at Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) in Torrance, Calif. where he managed business communications and media relations. He also had a two year assignment at Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) in Japan, based in the company’s international public affairs division in Tokyo.
Prior to his career with Toyota, Curtis worked at a public relations agency based in New York City. He graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in communications and government. He also holds a Master of Business Administration in finance and media management from Fordham University.
