Mike Groff is President and Chief Executive Officer of Toyota Financial Services (TFS) USA, as well as CEO of TFS Americas Region, overseeing all operational and financial activities in North and South America.
TFS is one of the nation’s largest and highest rated captive finance companies, with more than four million active finance accounts and over seven million insurance agreements in force. The company’s current managed assets total nearly $116 billion. TFS employs over 3,200 people across the country.
Groff has over 40 years of experience in automotive financing, covering credit administration, collections, customer service, finance and insurance product development, leasing, marketing, strategic planning, commercial finance, international operations, sales, and dealer relations. He is recognized by associates for his leadership skills, his ability to facilitate change and the development of people.
Groff joined Toyota in 1983; specifically with the newly established Toyota Motor Credit Corporation as its seventh employee, where his job as an operations administrator entailed a wide range of diverse responsibilities as the company started operations and began to grow. In the years to follow, he has held field positions including Branch Manager and Regional Manager, as well as headquarters positions that include Corporate Marketing and Leasing Manager, Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Vice President of Customer Service, and Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Product Development.
In 2013, Groff took the helm as President & CEO of Toyota Financial Services, and now oversees all of the company’s activities in North and South America. He is a member of the Toyota North American Executive Committee, working closely with peers from Toyota affiliates across North America.
In addition to his TFS responsibilities, Groff is also a National Trustee for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. In 2006, TFS enhanced its charitable efforts, deciding to focus on at-risk youth and its passion for educating children and teens. Groff has been instrumental in driving TFS’ philanthropic efforts, as well as inspiring employee participation. Those efforts have been repeatedly recognized over the years. Under his leadership, TFS was named to the Civic 50, recognizing the fifty most community-minded organizations in the nation. In 2016, Groff was awarded the Dan Donahue Leadership Award from KidWorks.
Groff received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton, and earned a Master's degree in Business Administration from Chapman University in Orange, California.
